Recently Jon Nester, Branch Manager at Aus Eco Solutions met with Lisette Mill the Land care facilitator from the Basalt to Bay for Moyne and Warrnambool regions.
They spent the day planning a Saturated Steam Weed Control demonstration for local farmers, shire councils, and environmental stakeholders in the Moyne and Warrnambool regions.
The Saturated Steam Weed Control demonstration will be held at an old train track site in relatively good condition, having never been ploughed and only ever lightly grazed.
The site holds a good representation of species, from both the Plains Grasslands and the Plains Grassy Woodlands of the Victorian Volcanic Plains Bioregion. Accompanying the day, a video will be produced using Federal Government funding, showcasing the methods displayed and will be available online to be used as a reference.
